Hi everyone, my name is Ben Piper, and welcome to my course, AWS Networking Deep Dive: Virtual Private Cloud (VPC). I'm an IT consultant and author. Amazon AWS is the world's most popular public cloud provider. As organizations move more of their workloads to AWS, it becomes more important for them to design their VPCs to adapt to ever-changing security and connectivity requirements. In this course, you'll learn the inner workings of VPC components. You'll understand at a fundamental level why VPCs work the way they do. Also, you'll learn the differences between traditional networks and VPCs, which can help you make better decisions about moving on-premises workloads to the cloud. Some of the major topics that we'll cover include separating public and private VPCs, connections VPCs together using VPC peering connections, Network Address Translation, NAT, connecting on-premises and cloud resources using transit VPCs, and connecting remote offices together using CloudHub. By the end of this course, you'll have the tools to create your own secure VPCs that can easily scale to accommodate increased workloads and connectivity. Before beginning the course, you should be familiar with basic AWS concepts.
